About Me

I am an on-line teacher for students in low-income school districts who are not performing at their grade level in mathematics.  The program I teach for is designed to provide individual student support.  The student is provided standard, normalized interactive lessons, which are augmented by my individual support provided via an internet, on-line white board.

I also teach an after school science program at the elementary school level.  The instruction is project-based, hands-on learning.  For example, we might build a rubber-band powered race car, to learn about kinetic energy.

I have held a varied and increasingly responsible positions in the telecommunication industry.  Several years ago, I made a career transition.  My current involvements, in addition to teaching, include:

• President of a non-profit focused on providing colon cancer screening and education.

• Involved in education and science support, including judging science fairs and development and maintenance of several non-profit websites.

I live in Issaquah, with my husband - Bob - and our two cocker spaniels - Red and Blue
